IN A NUTSHELL:
Date: Thurs 17 October – Mon 21 October. Full Moon Weekend.
Distance: 80km of trail running over 3 days (25km, 27km & 28km trail days)
Racing Format: Teams of 2 (any combination of male or female) are preferred, but solo entries will be accepted.
Fitness Required: The tour is aimed at novice to intermediate trail runners. Each trail day would normally be two average hike days, so ‘fast walkers’ could complete the days, but if you wanted to get to the next hotel in time for lunch and an afternoon siesta, you best keep your running shoes on.
On previous tours, the fastest runners would complete the days in an average of 3-3.5hrs , whilst the teams jogging/ walking would finish in about 5hrs – still in time for lunch!
Getting There: Fly into/out of East London Airport OR self-drive to the end-point (Crawfords Hotel – Cinsta) and we’ll be arranging a scheduled transfer(included in the price) through to Kob Inn (approx 3.5hr transfer)

SAA - there are a number of flights everyday. We advise booking early to get a ‘saver’ flight. 1-Time Airlines – currently under liquidation
Kulula Airlines – direct from JHB only. 8.15am arrival & 8.55am departure.

Thurs 17 Oct: Arrival Day Fly into EL airport or self-drive drive to end point (Crawfords, Cinsta) . Scheduled transfers to leave from ELA airport midday & come via Crawfords to collect self-drives. Approx 3.5hr transfer to Kob Inn.
Airport Transfer: leaves airport 12h00 .Transfer from Crawford: tbc but most likely 12h30 Overnight: Kob Inn Hotel (Dinner)
Fri 18 Oct: Trail Run – Day 1: Kob Inn – Wavecrest (25km)
Overnight: Wavecrest Hotel (Bkft from Kob Inn, Buffet lunch & Dinner – fromWavecrest)
Sat 19 Oct: Trail Run – Day 2: Wavecrest – Morgan Bay (27km)
Overnight: Mitford Hotel (Lunar Eclipse night) Bkft from Wavecrest, Buffet lunch & Dinner Morgan Bay
Sun 20 Oct:Trail Run – Day 3: Morgan Bay – Cintsa (28km)
Overnight: Crawfords Hotel Bkft from Morgan Bay, Buffet lunch available all afternoon & Final Dinner – from Crawfords
Mon 21 Oct: – Departure Day – Breakfast Depart in own vehicle if left at Crawfords Time TBC: Airport Shuttle from Crawfords back to East London Airport (approx 45min -1hr transfer). Please book a 12h00or later flight if possible.
Scheduled Transfer Times:
Arrival Day – Thurs 17 Oct Fly-IN: Most CT, JHB & DBN flights to East London airport generally arrive before 11h30. The airport transfer will depart soon after between 12h00.
Self-drive groups: Will leave vehicles at Crawfords, Cintsa. Transfer time tbc – but must be ready from 12h30 for shuttle/ transfer through to Kob Inn (approx 3hr transfer)
Departure Day – Mon 21 Oct 09h30 – 10h00 Shuttle leaves – transfer back to East London Airport (approx 45min -1hr transfer). Please book a 12h00 or later flight.
